Account Creation too slow

      Description

I created my jenkins-ci.org account yesterday. It took several hours for the email to arrive.
This is unacceptable, if you want people to report or upvote on Jenkins bugs. The pain to provide feedback must be high.
Please consider configuring JIRA that anonymous users can upvote on issues / bugs or speed up the account on-boarding. Everything >5 minutes is not acceptable in my view.

Tobias Sturm any idea to differentiate you and spammers? (Yes, human spammers, companies are paying people for that)

IMO, this is not easily solvable at all. I honestly don't think it will change, as this is 1) a one-shot process, then you're not "slowed down" again if you have to come back and 2) there are probably hundreds of things to be done before that request becomes high-prio...

If you want it to move forward: accounts.jenkins.io has its sources available at https://github.com/jenkins-infra/account-app so feel free to look into how that could be done.

Thanks Baptiste Mathus for pointing to the repo.
You are correct, that this one-time delay is no deal, if you want to become frequent contributor to the project. However, for people like me who only want to submit or upvote on a bug, a signup process that takes longer than a few minutes is tedious.

For me it does not look like a technical issue. Mails seem to be sent from the same thread that handles the HTTP Request. Maybe I was caught by the blacklist because i used the string `jenkins` in `what are you using jenkins for` https://github.com/jenkins-infra/account-app/blob/master/src/main/java/org/jenkinsci/account/Application.java#L1454.

          Closing this issue.
