      There is no way to see that build was aborted by timeout. It will be good if email will be sent after abortion.

          Here is an extension to this Improvement:

          Some (per-build or globally defined) time before aborting the build, send a warning mail, that the build will be terminated in x hours or minutes.

          This way you could analyze the hanging/slow build with the process still running (you have some time until it is aborted).
