    • Jenkins promoted builds plugin v2.6.1

We have some jobs configured with promotion processes dependent on downstream jobs to perform some actions when they succeed, however we noticed those actions not being taken after those downstream jobs were renamed.

It was then verified that the definition of those job names in the Promotion section were not correctly updated as it happens in all other parts that refer to a job.

It is even worse from my experience (Jenkins ver. 1.454; Promoted Builds Plugin 2.1-FULLFINGERPRINTDISCOVERY1):
We renamed a downstream job, which was also used as promotion criteria (one out of four downstream jobs, used as promotion criteria). The name in the promotion criteria stayed the same. (So no job with that name existed any more)
When the job was run next time, it was promoted, despite the fact that the criteria wasn't present at all. No warning from Jenkins; promotion succeeded despite of the missing criteria. On the "Promotion Status" page of the job #, the criteria wasn't listed at all.

On the plugin page I found:
          Version 2.8 (Oct 30, 2012)
Build shouldn't be promoted by a deleted promotion process (issue #12799)

But issue #12799 seems to refer to a different problem. And further why is the status of this report then still "Open" ?
