Cannot specify default columns for new views

      I would really like some way to specify a default for the columns of new views. It is quite tiresome to redefine the columns again and again for every view.

      Especially as some plugins decide to add their contributed columns to every new view.

          Not a bug.
          The feature should be implemented by a plugin, but it would require a ViewListener extension point

          Oleg: ListViewColumn.createDefaultInitialColumnList() is static, called from the ListView constructor. This needs to be solved in core.

          Agreed.
          Actually, there's no "ViewListener" extension at all, hence the core modification is required in any case

          Any change to get this sorted, ever? I find it very annoying not to be able to configure the default set of columns.
