I love that the Image Gallery plugin allows me to easily see an overview of images generated by my build process. But my build process generates dozens of large images, and now the Build Status page takes a long time to load.

Could the Image Gallery plugin provide an option to move the gallery to its own page (listed among the other build details links in the left navigation bar), to make the Build Status page smaller?

Hi Steve! Sorry for taking so long to look into this. I wasn't set as default assignee for issues of image-gallery and didn't notice there were issues for this plug-in.

I'll start a dev cycle for this plug-in, and will try to include a fix for your issue.

Oh, by the way, what about pagination in the galleries? Would that be another option as well?

I'm only a bit concerned about changing the default behavior or having to hack a way to support a new option to add a new action, with a new URL, for the galleries.

Some of our R code may generate more than 300 graphs! Some way of displaying them in a condensed form (through a secondary link to launch the gallery or pagination) sounds reasonable. I should say however, that in my case, I have not noticed excessive build result delays even when we load these many graphs on the build page.

ioannis do you think we should allow users to choose between having the images in the build page, or on its own page? Or should we make the default option to display that in a separate page?

The second option is easier to implement and maintain, but if for users having the flexibility to choose is a must, then I'd be happy to give it a try at adding a new option to customize the plug-in behaviour.
