SVN fails revision check for external subprojects

      Since version 2.0 you have to add additional credits to your jobs with externals. You need to reconfigure them as described in JENKINS-21785. This is behaviour by design and not a bug.

      our projects have externals specified which lie on the same server (also in the same repository).
      The external project reference is specified as relative path:

      ^/trunk/Library

      Up to end of February the check for changes was working correctly.
      After a complete update on Feb. 28th (to 1.553 and also all plugins) the revision check on the externals fails and only works for the main project, making Jenkins think that there are no changes and skipping the automatic build:

      If we start the build by hand it finishes correctly, also the checkout works fine.
      At first the manual build also failed due to the revision check, went back to normal after a second build, though.

          We have a similar situation but got a solution from Stephen. When using an external its now necessary to specify an 'Additional Credential' on the project's configuration page. For our svn server, the realm is 'CollabNet Subversion Repository', but yours may be different.
