I am using "Email Extension Plugin" 2.40.5 and after configuring all the needful values when i am trying to test configuration below error message is showing up:
com.sun.mail.smtp.SMTPSendFailedException: 530 5.7.57 SMTP; Client was not authenticated to send anonymous mail during MAIL FROM
I have another Jenkins setup where 2.39 installed which is working fine with the same configurations. The only difference i can see between these is, under "Extended E-mail Notification" there is a check box for "Override Global Settings" and upon checking on the same it will show "System Admin E-mail Address" option where i can set the admin email value. It the 2.39 version i set the value and tested and found working, the same option is not available in 2.40.5 where its throwing the above error message.
Am i missing anything here.

added a comment - I have configured the server details and other where you can find that its able to resolve the server. The only issue i could see here its not getting "From" mail list. As per my understanding it should pickup the "System Admin Email" from the Jenkins level configuration and i did not find any such option at plugin level.

You configure the from address (administrator address) in the "Jenkins Location Configuration" section of the global configuration.

Newer versions require you to setup the email server settings in the email-ext configuration. The configuration from the Mailer plugin is no longer used.
