workflow 1.11
With the new workflow version (1.11) the editor contains syntax highlighting and line numbers. This is very helpful. However, the editor box cannot be expanded any more. Actually, I think this is a bug

[JENKINS-31585] worflow editor cannot be expanded any more
Environment | New: workflow 1.11 |
Description |
Original:
Disclaimer: I have mixed feelings opening this issue, since there is lot work to do for fixing bugs and the functionality of workflow..... Since there is no immediate need for action I mark it with low priority. With the new workflow version (1.11) the editor contains syntax highlighting and line numbers. This is very helpful. However, the editor box cannot be expanded any more. Actually, I think this is a bug :( Font size: After working with workflow for a week now, I constantly get problems with my eyesight in the middle of my workday. One cause is the font size of the workflow editor being very tiny. It seems to be smaller then all the other editor boxes in Jenkins. Personally I think it should be the same font size then any other editor box, at least this should be the default. A little bit more 'visionary': When defining a workflow actually the most important part is the workflow part. However, to see it after clicking the job, you need to scroll down all the time. From an interface ergonomics point of view this is very cumbersome. The major information seems to be the 'Build Triggers', however the SCM information is buried somewhere in the workflow anyway. Ideas: Move 'Build Triggers' to the bottom, move all of the additional project configuration to the bottom and put the workflow on top. |
