Special Character (for example ~) in Password breaks function

      If you use a special character like ~ in your password, everything after the character is recognized as command which obviously makes no sense and causes the Plugin to fail.
      Please see attached log file.

          I cannot reproduce this issue using a password with the ~ character.

          I see on the logs there is nothing related to this plugin, but the git plugin.

          I think this issue should have been opened for the git plugin instead.
