Replay option allows to small changes to the Pipeline script and do this iteratively without having to go thru' version control. If changes are proven to be fine, then the regular workflow shall be followed i.e. from dev's workspace to version control and from there to Jenkins build job via various source control plugins / hooks.
In the scenario where the same pipeline script (of the project / build job) is being changed by multiple users, to know what the previous change was meant for would make it easier for the person making the subsequent changes to build on that.
To facilitate this, it would be nice to have a small text field at the top or bottom of the Replay editor screen to allow the user making the change to enter short comment. In a way, it could help collaborative development of the pipelline script during the formative stages of the project within the project's organization.
