Currently using:
W2k12R2
AD plugin 2.0
Jenkins ver. 2.32.1
Requested Feature/Improvement:
As a user, I want to be able to select field(s) stored in a user's Active directory account for use with other plugins.
In order to do this I would need the Active Directory Plugin to work with the Jenkins username directory to sync fields of that user. This needs to be done so that I (the user) do not need to log in and update those fields.
As a user, I want to be able to select field(s) stored in a user's Active directory account to be able to store in the users profile for other use.
The purpose of this request is to remove the need for a user/developer to log into "Jenkins" in order to receive reports generated by a Build.
Use Case Example:
Fields of interest:
User.Phone.Mobile
User.Email.Work
User.Skypename
Actions of interest this feature could enable:
If build/test fails send SMS to User.Phone.Mobile
If build/test fails send message to User.Skypename
If build/test fails send email to User.Email.Work
The "user" could be the person who committed the source code or a manager who chooses to be notified, etc.
