SMTP server showing unknown host name

      I am trying to configure e-mail notification on jenkins when I am trying to give my company SMTP server name I am facing an error like unknown host name. how should I solve it

          i have checked SMTP server, it doesn't have any issue and it was working fine till yesterday afternoon.

          i am using Jenkins 1.581

          Are you connecting from home network or your office network, have you checked whether you are able to telnet the server??

          i tried to telnet it failed, i tried with different server, still same error, its some thing wrong with Jenkins.

          If telnet is not working ask your network to enable telnet for the SMTP server then only you can use Smtp on jenkins.
