use tree api for search + and probably everywhere

      The search api call returns a lot of unneeded data. 

       

      Using the tree parameter means only requested data will be returned. this should be used instead. 

       

      This may be a good place to start, but open a can of worms that plugins need to whitelist what actions they want returned in data etc.
