Sometimes (I have not yet discerned a pattern in when) a Pipeline job will fail to abort. I get the "Click here to forcibly terminate running steps" link, but clicking on it does nothing.

The network tab in Firefox's dev tools reveals that when I click the link, it is sending an OPTIONS request to the link which is getting a 403 error, with a permission denied error page.

If I copy the link into the browser directly and use the "Try POSTing" button, the job aborts successfully.
