QUERY via REST API

      Is it possible to query Jenkins via REST API to fetch the preconfigured slaves and start a new slave? 

       

      For example, I have 2 types of slaves configured via ec2-plugin. It would be nice to query the pre-configured slaves and start a slave via REST API
