Pipeline showing multiple stages on failure

      When a pipeline stage fails, in this case when a Maven test failed, we see the pipeline stage view display many extraneous, duplicate stages. See attached.

          This can be really annoying - now you lose out on the benefit of the visualization making it immediately clear where the problem lies and how far the pipeline got.
