Being able to add a custom log file would be a really great feature

      Issue:
      I have a custom log file like an Audit trail log or something similar which I would like to do Splunk Analysis on but I have no way to get that there with the splunk plugin(that I am aware of).

      Request:
      I would love the ability to specify an arbitrary log file which would get pushed to Splunk so that analysis could be done on the log file. Being able to have a "custom log file" in that dropdown and then adding the location in an additional field would be a great new feature.

          If the files are out of workspace, please use splunk forwarder to send logs files (e.g. /var/log/*)

          fengxx That post action would not work on an audit trail log since that is kept on the master in an arbitrary location like /var/log by default which means your solution would be splunk forwarder? That is external to Jenkins correct?

          I was just hoping for a way to forward on master log files to splunk via the plugin but maybe the plugin does not work that way. Let me know if that was not how the plugin was intended to be used or if that does not make sense as a feature
