If you play monkey and start hammering the "Check Now" button available in the update center, each click generates retrieval + parsing of UC data. The JSON parsing being memory and cpu consuming, this can bring the instance on its knees.

The "Check UC" operation should be reworked to be done in background, and only one at a time.
