In a FreeSyle job the entry for a description is a single text field.

you can put in line feeds using ${CRLF} however this is cumbersome and makes it hard to see and edit the job configuration.

in a pipeline it also seems to be not possible to use a multiline string (causes Jira to return an error).

This request is to allow you to enter a values using a multiline string and that the plugin converts that however it requires in order to send to the Jira server in JSON.

[JENKINS-66093] allow multiline input for description etc.
