I spent a couple hours trying to figure out why the User/group to add field was not accepting users. Since the User/group column displays Full name, I assumed the User/group value had to be full name as well. My suggestion is to either display username instead of full name for the User/group column OR for the field to add user/group, display something like  "Username of the user/group you wish to add" instead.
