plugins failing to update

      Description

      When i try to update plugins I get timeout errors.

          Closing this as "cannot reproduce after two weeks without further response from the submitter.

          Mirror list for the timestamper plugin shows 8 active mirrors providing the most recent release of the plugin

          Why is this tagged as "timestamper-plugin"? It's simply a failure (Connection reset) for a - any plugin, which happens to be timestamper. Had no problem curling it myself. Removed component from issue.

          Actual issue appears to be:

          Caused: java.io.IOException: Failed to load https://updates.jenkins.io/download/plugins/branch-pi/2.6.5/branch-api.hpi to /var/lib/jenkins/plugins/branch-api.jpi.tmp
           at hudson.model.UpdateCenter$UpdateCenterConfiguration.download(UpdateCenter.java:1289)
           Caused: java.io.IOException: Failed to download from https://updates.jenkins.io/download/plugins/branch-api/2.6.5/branch-api.hpi (redirected to: https://get.jenkins.io/plugins/branch-api/2.6.5/branch-api.hpi)
          

          which also seems to have downloaded fine for me.

          Maybe a local permissions problem?
