If you click on buttons in a table to sort the entries, the table becomes wider and smaller depending on the button you click. I attached a video, you notice it the best if you click on "Name" or "Last Success".

added a comment - This isn't a new bug. I went bisecting as far back as 2.263 and the issue is still present there. Feel free to bisect further if you want to find the true cause, but for now I am removing the "regression" label from this ticket.

added a comment - Well, for this to be a regression, we need to know which release this regressed in. So what is the first weekly release this problem started occurring in? I went as far back as 2.263 before I stopped hunting.

basil, I guess you are correct, it appears to be an issue going all the way back to 1.x.
Technically not a regression, just MUCH more pronounced in the latest UI revamp, 2.332.x.
I attach 2 videos:
- one comparing 1.x, 2.x and 2.332.2
- one comparing various iterations of 2.x for comparison.

However, the root cause remains the same; the column header width should account for the width of the up/down indicator even when not displayed. Use a blank character placeholder or otherwise pad if not the sorted column?

Looks like the width of the column has to be proactively padded to handle the sort up/down arrow.
