The new css class "jenkins-table" creates tables that are with 100% width.

When one wants to create a table with only few columns, the layout looks not so good on bigger screens.
To achieve a better looking appearance width: auto is required in combination with some padding between the columns

With the old css classes there was "bigtable" that allowed to create compact tables. Only in combination with "pane" the width was set to 100%

So it would be nice to be able to create compact tables without the need to apply extra styling and own css.
