Thanks for the report. I had seen that artifact and assumed it was somehow intentional. However, no other button in Jenkins has that type of artifact, so I think that it cannot be intentional. It is visible in both the Git plugin and the Mercurial plugin. I believe the root issue is either in the credentials plugin or in Jenkins core.
