when doing larger builds
it does happen to me
that in the leading part of the log
Jenkins decide to clip the log
somewhere in the middle of a line.
doing so the hide functionality for secrets (such as passwords, tokens and ssh keys)
no longer works - and some parts or even most parts are unveiled within the shown log text.
from an end user perspektive:
maybe it would also be more comfortable for a log inspecting person if the clipping would only operate on whole lines.
(hint for sister ticket JENKINS-70887 on maybe hidden or missing log clipping control options.)
[JENKINS-70886] Jenkins console logs will see cutting in the middle of lines, unveiling secret keys
