Suggestion: Use latest LTS as a base

      With the current version 1.18.0 we face a regression problem and I am currently checking the relevant code snippets.

      I recognize that the plugin still is based on a rather old Jenkins version and suggest to use the latest LTS version (see https://www.jenkins.io/changelog-stable/) as a base for the implementation.

      As far as I can see it just requires the change of three lines in the POM, I am gonna provide a PR. A usual 'mvn clean package' succeeded locally with the new version.
