The current documentation is outdated as there are options available in the plugin that are not explained
(e.g Data Source = default)
Additionally, it is not clear how to collect the Audit Log using the plugin?

added a comment - The documentation has no reference to the second plugin named "Splunk Extension" you need to install to enable "build console logs" and post-build test logs inside the "Splunk App for Jenkins".

Moreover, the defaut indexes jenkins, jenkins_console, etc. should be better documented, as well as the fact that they are created by default by the "Splunk App for Jenkins" on splunkbase.
On Splunkbase, as well, the "Splunk App for Jenkins" documented information refers to the [Splunk | Jenkins plugin|https://plugins.jenkins.io/splunk-devops/] but there is no mention of the "Splunk Extension" plugin anywhere. You have to get lucky and find it on the plugins index by chance.
