Release a plugin or plugins that provide the AWS SDK for Java 2.x as an API plugin so that other Jenkins plugins can use the AWS SDK for Java 2.x.
AWS announced the 31 Dec 2025 end of life for AWS SDK for Java 1.x in a first blog post and restated it in a second blog post. A migration tool beta release was also announced.
If we follow the pattern of other major API plugin upgrades, this will be a new plugin that includes the "2" in the plugin name. Current API plugins that provide AWS SDK for Java 1.x include:
