Some characters in data cause build breaks, loss of function

      When adding values to an axis variable, if a comma "," is included in a value, the build succeeds, but you cannot "click through" to see the details about that particular combination.

      If a pipe "|" is in a value, then the entire matrix build shows as a failure, though it appears the jobs are all launched.
