The gerrit trigger per-job configuration has an option to skip voting when the build ends with a certain status. But the status "Aborted" is missing from the list. I would like to have a build that never votes, but just posts a link back to Gerrit. Now, if the build times out or is manually aborted, it still votes like it does for other jobs and there appears to be no way to avoid that.
