The git client plugin >2.0 apparently defaults to SSH_ASK_PASS instead of .gitcredentials. I understand that this was necessary for child projects, but it breaks the model for using workflow-remote-loader-plugin, which maps to a credential ID for a secret text token.

Can we get a way to configure which method the git client it will use? All of our pipelines are now stuck in an older version of Jenkins and the plugins, and can't be brought forward.
