    • GitLab Enterprise Edition 8.15.5, Jenkins 1.651.3, Credentials plugin 2.1.10, Git plugin 3.0.1, GitLab plugin 1.4.4, Jenkins running on RHEL 7.2 with Java 1.7.0_101

Gitlab API Token credentials do not show up in the Credentials drop down in the Git section of the Source Code Management section of the project configuration page.

API Tokens created via the Add dialog in this section do show up in the credentials list of the main Jenkins config, indicating that they've been created at least.

Other newly created credential types DO show up in the drop down after creation. Seems specific to the API tokens.

It does not work for me as well:

Jenkins 2.32.2 running as docker container
          Plain Credentials Plugin 1.3
          GitLab Plugin 1.4.5

I am having exact same issue.  I add GitLab API token  and it won't show up in drop down.  It shows up in the main Credential list as well.

          Please help!

This is not a bug. You do not use GitLab API credentials to check out code using Git. Therefore, that credential does not appear in the available ones for the Git plugin to use for cloning.
