      I can probably configure my web container to use ldaps:// for authentication,
      but it would be nice if this was an option in the Hudson server config screen..
      I couldn't find a way to specify SSL for the LDAP setup here.

          [FIXED JENKINS-1445] Supported the ldaps:// protocol.
          Given that LDAPS is deprecated in favor of startTLS in LDAP v3, I felt it doesn't deserve the real estate of having a separate checkbox, so the approach is somewhat clumsy.
