    • RHEL 6.4, URL SCM Plugin 1.6

Our Jenkins installation is on a machine that does not have direct access to the Internet. We have to set the Jenkins HTTP Proxy Configuration for updates to work, but this URL SCM plugin doesn't seem to use either that setting or the http_proxy environment variable. The job I just modified to use this plugin fails with a connection timeout:

ERROR: Unable to copy http://www... <valid URL omitted>
      Connection timed out

          [JENKINS-21633] HTTP Proxy setting ignored?

I confirm we are experiencing the same issue.

Proxy settings are being ignored when Jenkins run under openJDK-1.7 and Oracle JDK 1.8. It works with openJDK-1.6.

We have the same issue. Neither JVM settings (-Dhttp.proxyHost) nor environment variables (http_proxy) work.

          Jenkins: 1.543
          Git Client plugin: 1.4.6
          Git Plugin: 2.0

          Git version on slave: 1.9.0
