It looks like the default socket timeout before PINGs are sent to the IRC server is 5 minutes. I keep running into an issue where our jenkins bot reaches a PING timeout (121 seconds). This fills up the channel logs with our jenkins bot disconnecting and reconnecting.

It would be nice if we could configure the timeout under advanced settings. I've added a link to what I did to fix this issue for me. I am not very experienced at Java, but I can try to open up a PR if this issue gets approved.
