https://github.com/jenkinsci/jenkins/pull/2121 vs. https://github.com/jenkinsci/jenkins/pull/2029

Ideally one real, supportable solution (for use by plugins) is available towards 2.0.

[JENKINS-33802] Standardize 'one column layout' definitions

danielbeck, IMHO does not make sense that versus. PR-2029 is based on <l:layout /> and is designed to support new options easily. And PR-2121 has solved full-width screen ad-hoc becuase it was needed.

danielbeck I agree though it could be include in the next release of Jenkins 1.x. In this way, we can try it.

The new UX has functionality to show/hide the navigation sidebar, but this hacked in. Manuel and Gus and Tom should locked themselves in a room to agree on how to fix it the right way. Since many of the column layout work has been developed by them, so they should find a common solution.

swashbuck1r This should be delayed after 2.0. It is easy to introduce any regreesion because there are several views involved, CSS styles, etc...

Anyway, I can start to work on it in order to know its complexity.
