To the extent possible, Pipeline script should implement the full Groovy language. Where not possible, it should make every effort to display a meaningful error when run. As a last resort, documentation should clearly enumerate known limitations.

Issues include problems passing closures; serializability of intermediate variables, especially from iterators; and coverage of relatively exotic Groovy language features.
