EC2 Plugin: Invalid groupID parameter when provisioning

      Hello,

      Attempting to test the EC2 plugin, have configured the Cloud Settings and AWS Access Credentials etc. However, when i goto create a new node and click on the 'Provision via' button, i get the following error:

      com.amazonaws.services.ec2.model.AmazonEC2Exception: Value () for parameter groupId is invalid. The value cannot be empty (Service: AmazonEC2; Status Code: 400; Error Code: InvalidParameterValue;
      

      Haven't been able to suss out exactly which param is missing here. Any ideas?

          I had to enter the security group ID (sg-XXXXX) for the "Security group names" and additionally enter the Subnet ID for VPC (subnet-XXXXXXXX) in order for this to disappear.

          supaflysnooka carlosrodlop can you please explain exactly what you did (maybe with a screenshot)? I have the exact same problem, but I was not able to solve it so far

          sorry, forget it - I just found the missing piece - I found the field for the "Subnet ID" in the advanced settings

          stephenking, I wonder why you closed this ticket as fixed when error message misleads DevOps and file label says "SG names" not "SG IDs".
