CppUnit fails to initialise when there's no SCM root

      Hudson 1.322, CppUnit 1.1:
      Vaguely related to issue 4297 (use of workspace root instead of SCM root).
      I have a couple of projects that run without SCM (they run the tests that other
      projects build), and after switching to CppUnit plugin 1.1, the plugin will no
      longer initialise (stack dump will be attached).
      Other projects, with SCM, work fine. Switching to xUnit for the projects in
      question solves my problem.
