Jira Default issue selector is not carrying over issues from failed builds

      I am using the following command to pull Jira issues in jenkins

      jiraIssueSelector(issueSelector: [$class: 'DefaultIssueSelector'])

       

      The command is pulling the issues in the current changelog, however, it does not pull from the previous failed build. How to fix it?
