Maven 2 build hangs

      Maven 2 build hangs when downloading internal or external resources (similar to
      #976). I have a multi-module project with a master POM and several sub-module
      POMs, and build continuously hangs with no error messages. When I run it from
      the command line, it runs fine.

      Here's my environment:
      OS: WinXP
      Java: JDK6
      Maven: 2.0.4 (downgraded from 2.0.8 after reading post on this forum)
      Hudson: 1.166
