When upgrading Git Plugin from 1.1.12 to latest version (1.1.19), all the git projects were detecting changes and checkouting one commit backward and since then are always one commit behind the remote branch.
After a downgrade of the plugin + upgrade version by version, the problem happens when upgrading from 1.1.15 to 1.1.16.
