We have two sets of jobs to build and deploy our artifacts to nexus (soft from trunk and more stable from a release branch), we use a common deploy to tomcat server job using the maven linker to pick the right artifact (soft goes to dev automatically, release branch to our test environment).

Issue : when setting up the deploy job using an input parameter for the BUILD_JOB, the variable got empty out after save.

See screenshot, if I save and go back to configure the <b>Project</b> will be empty, while the <b>Project name</b> (from copy artifact) would be fine.

So we switched back to copy artifact but it's not ideal as the linker is exactly what we'd like to use (and the stripping of version feature is gold), with all of our artifacts in Nexus, not jenkins.
