The CVS Plugin starting from 2.x generates too much output.
This may affect the build time and the log sizes.
Please add a configurable 'quiet' and 'really quiet' switch and enable at least 'quiet' by default.
The old plugin did always set the 'quiet' switch by default.

[JENKINS-15880] Please add a configurable 'quiet'/'really quiet' (-q/-Q) switch for the CVS Plugin

Jenkins runs with -Q (very quiet) enabled by default. This can be changed by ticking the 'show all cvs output' box on the job config screen. See the discussion in linked defects about what the additional output is, and check https://issues.jenkins-ci.org/browse/JENKINS-14711?focusedCommentId=170041&page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel#comment-170041 for a reason why we shouldn't filter this output
