  We are using version 1.11 of the plugin, but looking at the release notes of the releases that came after this, it does not look like this issue was addressed.

I tried it with both Jenkins 1.493 and the LTS version 1.480.1 but couldn't reproduce the bug. Which version of Jenkins do you use?
However, I noticed that the showDiff page doesn't work properly if the new config.xml is formatted a bit differently than the old config.xml. But the config changes are still saved correctly.
