It would be interesting to have the SideBar Link supporting most properties from Hudson environment and Hudson properties plugin.
I have a use case where I'd like to use ${JOB_NAME} but could not find any way to get it (or other syntax) to work.

JOB_NAME is undefined outside of a job execution, so if it's specifically that, this should probably be resolved as Won't (Can't) Fix.

But inside job execution the variables are defined. We have a case where we for a set of jobs (that automatically is copied) want to reference a file in the worspace and thus could use ${JOB_URL}/ws/ourfile inside each of the jobs.
