Often times when either troubleshooting or prototyping you need several "saves" to get the code correct. You should be able to do an arbitrary number of changes in the "local" repo before doing a commit. Once you have your job doing what you want, you should be able to provide a commit message and then push up to the remote master.
A commit per save is very noisy!
