Dear all,
ClearCase most of the time has the top-level project.xml in somewhere other than
the root directory of the workspace. When build a Maven 2 project, we have the
Root POM where we can specify the location of pom.xml if the pom.xml doesn't
reside at the top-level. However, when build a free-style project, the only
build step available for building maven is "Invoke top-level maven targets".
This is a show stopper for all ClearCase projects that build using Maven 1.0.2
or Maven 1.1.
I would request to add an attribute called "Root POM" to "Invoke top-level maven
targets" and consider to change this build step to "Invoke maven targets".
We have a large number of developers and projects that currently using ClearCase
and maven 1.1. Please help...
