l:breakable mishandles HTML metacharacters

      If you give a project the display name Crazy <ha ha>, it is displayed as Crazy <;ha ha> (note the extra semicolon). This is because escape produces 

      Crazy &lt;ha ha>

      and then breakableString produces 

      Crazy <wbr>&lt<wbr>;ha ha>

      which is of course wrong.
