For some reason Microsoft Excel (and probably other programs) expect semicolons instead of commas to be used in CSV files by default. So it would be nice if the plot plugin would accept semicolon separates CSV files, too, in order to be able to more easily share files with Excel.

CSV -> Comma Separated Values. I think you might have your Excel set incorrectly?

I know what CSV stands for It's not Excel itself that is configured incorrectly. As it turns out, on Windows Excel "may expect a semicolon as a separator instead of a comma [...] depending on the system's regional settings" [1]. To work around this, it would be nice to the able to customize the delimiter.

although, that said, I myself have used semi-colons in a CSV file to separate a "header" from the data and excel does allow you to add in quite a few other delimiters.
